The Manuscripts Division, a unit of Princeton University Library’s Department of Rare Books and Special Collections, is proud to offer the inaugural Manuscripts Division Archival Fellowship to one graduate student or recent graduate this year. This fellowship provides a summer of work experience for a current or recent graduate student interested in pursuing an archival career. The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Library is now offering Short-Term Fellowships to further research using the holdings of Special Collections and University Archives. Special Collections at the Richard J. Daley Library houses manuscripts, rare books, photographs, and artifacts on the social, political, and cultural history of Chicago. The Library of the Health Sciences-Chicago Special Collections documents the city’s rich history as a center for the education and practice of the medical arts. Premier collections include the papers of Richard J. Daley, the Chicago Urban League, the Century of Progress, exemplars of 21st century design, the Chicago settlement house movement, and the Chicago Board of Trade. Fellowships: Short-Term Research Fellowships at the NYPL

The New York Public Library is pleased to offer Short-Term Research Fellowships to support scholars from outside the New York metropolitan area engaged in graduate-level, post-doctoral, and independent research. Individuals needing to conduct on-site research in the Library’s special collections to support projects in the humanities, business and the arts are welcome to apply. Preference is given to scholars whose work is based on materials in the NYPL research collections, especially when those materials are unique. Each fellow is expected to be in residence at the Library for the duration of their fellowship and each fellow will be expected to produce a written summary of his/her experience working with the collections.  Fellowship stipends are $1,000 per week for a minimum of two and maximum of four weeks.
